Woking Amateur Boxing Club is affiliated to the England Boxing, amateur boxing’s governing body.

We are member’s of the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain giving youth in the local community a healthy and disciplined pastime.  Over the years we have a strong association with the British Army.

The club is run entirely by volunteers who give their time, passion and knowledge to the club for the sport of Amateur Boxing and the local community.

Classes

Junior Classes

Saturday, Tuesday & Thursday

Novice session for Junior boys & girls wanting an introduction to Boxing or those who want a boxing based workout for Fun & Fitness.

Senior Classes

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

Senior Male and Female session for beginners and those wanting a boxing fitness workout.

History

The Club can be traced back to the 1920’s. In the late 50’s early 60’s the boxers trained at the back of the  Courtney Road Free Church in Walton Road, Woking. then moving to the garage at the Allied Bakery in Byfleet, the Drill Hall in Walton Rd, Woking, the Drill Hall in Chertsey, two rooms above the Red House Pub (now O’Neills), The Grange Children’s home in Oriental Road, Woking and the  gym Westfield Avenue in 1979, moving to our current gym in the park in 2012.

The Team

We have a team of 9 coaches along with our President, Chairman, Secretary and committe members.

All coaches are DBS checked, first aid and safeguarding educated.
